Information we collect from you
When you register to join our online school exhibition, or when you choose to engage our services, subscribe, call or email us, or otherwise provide information to us, we will collect information directly from you. We will also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. In line with data protection laws we are only able to process personal data where we have a valid reason to do so.
The following are examples of information that we may collect directly from you:
• Your name, email address, telephone number
• Your child’s name, your child’s school and school year, your child’s educational background and history.

Sharing information with Third Parties
The information you provide to Waypoints may be sent to schools, tutors and/or tutoring companies, education consultants, education psychologists or other persons involved in the school search process. They may also be provided to our exhibition partners and sponsors for their marketing purposes. Other than sharing information on the basis outlined above we will keep your personal information confidential and will not pass it on to any third parties unless we are required to do so by law.

Retention Periods and Method
Your information will only be kept for as long as necessary in accordance with GDPR laws. We will keep your personal data for a commercially reasonable period of time for the purposes stated above and retain it for a period of up to 8 years from the date you are no longer an active client. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is kept safe and will endeavour to protect it from unauthorised access.
Right to be Forgotten
You have the right to object to our use of your personal data and to ask us to delete it if there is no need for us to keep it. Please inform us in writing if you think we are retaining or using your personal data incorrectly. We shall delete any such data within 3 business days, unless there is a legal reason why we are not allowed to do so.
Access to your data
Under the GDRP laws, you have the right to request a copy of all personal information that we hold about you at no cost. We will also correct any inaccuracies in your information at your request. Please make your request in writing to the business address of Waypoints and we shall respond to you within one month, as required by law.
